It is delight to share with all of you today, the wonderful blessings of Breathwork, and also share a story that has been on my mind.
When a bird lands on a branch, they are able to be perfectly at peace, without fear or anxiety. With complete trust. The bird does not trust the branch. They trust themselves, knowing that should the branch break or the wind blow, they will be able to fly away.
This is the fruit of breathwork. It is the removing of all obstacles that make us feel inferior, or lacking - all those stories hidden in our subconscious that continually tell us that we are unworthy. Breathwork can reveal and heal these stories, so that like the bird, no matter where we land or what we encounter throughout the day, we are confident, trusting ourselves to be able to respond in a way that is best for all.
Blessings! And enjoy this powerful full moon!

A Reel just passed through my facebook feed offering this:
"The top 5 most deadly toxins. It’s not what you think…
1. Complaining
2. Criticizing
3. Being negative
4. Making excuses
5. Gossiping"
Yes! Just as our physical body needs proper nutrition, so do our mental and emotional bodies. These 5 behaviors are akin to feeding our physical body poisons.
But seeing these behaviors is not judgment! It is Grace, for it is the ego who complains and gossips, and seeing such behaviors in ourself is critical to determining the difference between ego and Soul.
Such behaviors arise from false stories, images, beliefs that we have stored in our body and subconscious. They are NOT natural behaviors, they are learned behaviors, arising from the trauma we experienced in our early life. They are like the puss oozing out of an infection, and like infections, they must be addressed and dealt with to be healed.
Breathwork addresses and deals with and heals.

Hi Friends,
Perhaps you have wondered why 'Sacred. Journey' was chosen.
The answer?
I have found that devotion, or an awareness of sacredness, is essential in this journey. It is a sure fire way to get out of ego and into Soul.
For me, devotion is a bowing of the heart. It can also feel like going deeper into the heart, and as we do so the heart expands. And when we bow the heart, curious that the mind goes silent. In essence we are submitting our mind, our thoughts, our feelings, to something higher, something beyond us, something we may not be able to see, but we know is there.
Thus devotion is not something we do to prove our self worthy or to please God, it is something we do to align ourselves with the Divine. And this is what Breathwork is all about. Alignment. Alignment achieved by removing anything not in alignment.
It is the journey to the Holy of Holies, and thus the Journey is Sacred.

May the 4th be with you!
On Monday evenings I join friends in a 9D Breathwork Journey and tonight's theme was Abundance. This is a common spiritual topic, and it is closely tied to our manifesting power. Tonight though, I heard something new.
You might already understand that what the Universe brings to us matches our vibration - not simply what we think, but what we are. Breathwork is key in elevating our vibration, by removing the false images that have been controlling us from the subconscious.

The way this new idea was described began with this: Imagine you discover that $1 million will be deposited into your bank account in six months. Now your bank account has not changed, your situation has not changed, but what does this $1 million certainty do to your feelings? How does it make you feel? That any financial problems are no longer problems? That you can now do those things you have been inspired to do? Maybe opening an animal rescue farm, or finally getting that certification so that you can facilitate Breathwork or Meditation? Has not negativity left and you are now positive and looking forward to the future that is blossoming for you? THIS is what the Universe will respond to, how you are feeling, how you are vibrating.
Many sacred texts and teachers say that when we pray, pray with gratitude as though what we are praying for has already occurred. Praying from feelings of lack will just bring us more lack, no matter what words we use. It is the vibration, the energy, that speaks to the Universe, to Creation itself.
Living as though everything we are wishing for has already happened is true Abundance.
The new idea can be summarized as this: We can plant seeds of abundance in our subconscious. When we are hopeful, and positive, this is what we are doing. We are creating. And creating begins with planting seeds.
So on this day, MAY the force of positivity be planted like a seed in your subconscious, so that it blossoms and brings you the life you have always wanted.
There is a subtle truth that is difficult to explain unless one has experienced it directly.
Let us begin with a story.
Twenty-seven years ago, I was an Evangelical Christian. I loved Jesus and my church family. I wanted to devote my life entirely to Christ, to do something meaningful, in service to him, and so I set my sights on earning a PhD in Early Christianity from University of California, Los Angeles.
When a Survey Through the New Testament course from Biola University opened in my area—taught by a UCLA PhD in Early Christianity—I took it as confirmation that I was on the right path. I believed I was on my way to something important, and all for Jesus.

But then something shifted.
A few weeks into the course, I found myself falling in love with Jesus ,in a way I never had experienced before. I prayed constantly throughout the day, inwardly clinging to his feet. And one day, a realization struck me with startling clarity: I had never before truly loved Jesus.
What I had called loving Jesus and loving my church was, in many ways, loving myself—loving how Jesus and the church made me feel.
I had been living on the surface.
My personality, my thoughts, my desires, even what I called love, all existed on the surface level of consciousness. And the surface is where the ego resides—always preoccupied with itself: its goals, its fears, its identity, its successes, its failures, its goodness, its suffering.
But nothing on the surface is ultimately real.
Again. Nothing on the surface is ultimately real.
It was devotion that drew me beneath the surface. Immersing myself in the Gospels so intensely awakened something within me. I was being pulled inward, downward, into the depths of consciousness itself. And once that journey began, helpers appeared along the way—teachers, experiences, sacred encounters—like diving instructors teaching me how to descend further into my own depths.
The first things we encounter beneath the surface are humility, compassion, empathy, devotion, faith, hope, and love. These qualities do not arise from performance or self-image. They arise naturally from depth.
And deeper still, we enter mystery.
When we become willing to descend into our own deep waters, authenticity is born. We begin to move and act not from the restless surface of personality, but from the depths of Being itself.
Those who have gone deeper come to recognize the bondage of surface living. They see how humanity is hypnotized by appearances, convinced that the surface is reality. But in reality, we spend our lives treading water, exhausted, fearful, constantly watching for sharks.
This surface illusion is suffering.
Meditation—formal or informal—Breathwork, contemplation of sacred texts, prayer, silence, self-inquiry: these are all ways of learning to descend. But to go deeper, we must first release our attachment to the surface.
We must loosen our grip on judgment, blame, self-hatred, self identity, expectations and certainty. We must become willing to let go of everything we thought we were.
In truth, we must want freedom more than we want familiarity.
We must want freedom more than we want that which brings suffering.
And strangely, beautifully, we discover that we can breathe down there.
In fact, we breathe far better in the depths than we ever did upon the surface.

I use to love hanging out on the beginner's slope at ski resorts. Your know the bunny slope.
This is where I found the bravest humans in the world
Adults learning to ski. ⛷️
If you were one of these, you know. Learning to ski as an adult requires allowing oneself to be extremely uncomfortable, to face potential danger, and to go where the ego does not want to go. Yeah, one has to really let go of themselves.
And this takes courage.
May 11, 2026

As we stand at the top of a slope, we have no idea what will happen if we ease over the edge. We have never done this before. But then we might gather some courage when we tell ourself that skiing or snowboarding is like a controlled fall. Really. We throw ourself down a hill and control the fall. Hopefully.
Doing what Krishnamurti teaches in videos such as this one is like this. But there is a difference.
How in the world does one stand and look at emotions and sensations arising with nonjudgmental awareness, without attachment, without claiming the feeling or sensation as belonging to them? Standing at that precipice can be frightening. And just how do we let ourself go over that cliff? Letting those emotions and feelings arise? Here, though, is the difference. We must do so without any control.
And this takes curiosity, and extreme bravery.
Feelings and emotions are just energy, but unfortunately, we convince ourself that they are bad. Add to this the intensity of some emotions. So we resist. And we become so comfortable resisting that we oftentimes do it without awareness - the ego in its fear of emotions will begin to generate distracting thoughts, like eating, or watching a movie, or scrolling social media. Or my favorite: Shopping online.
We are convinced that the thoughts arise because we need to eat, or take a break, or go shopping, and move on without ever thinking about that feeling or emotion again.
But the body and the subconscious will never forget. The suppressed emotions become our operating system, or DOS (for those who remember DOS). Oftentimes we easily accept the distractions because of that one time when we let the emotion through, we let it express itself, and that was super scary. Perhaps we sobbed uncontrollably, or we screamed and yelled. Perhaps we became violent with our self or others.
So letting the emotion through when we are attached to it as a self identity becomes unacceptable, hence ignoring and just moving on feels like the best solution, or maybe storing it to share with a good friend, in the future.
All of these are programmed responses that will keep us in bondage, in bondage to a self identity that suffers, and to a dysregulated nervous system.
There is only one solution. There is only one response that keeps us free, without damage to our nervous system: And that is allowing the emotion to arise without attachment, without claiming it, without judgments. And the first step necessary, before we jump off that cliff, is non resistance - or NO FEAR. We must be driven by curiosity not fear.
When we can just sit there and observe the feeling, the emotion, something incredible happens. We see the ego, we see the ego in its fear and its suffering, but the suffering does not belong to us. We are just observing. And who the hell are we if we are not the one experiencing the emotion but instead the one observing?
That is a mystery I invite you to discover!

I am laughing at a realization and must write it down.
We are Creators.
We are not bodies, or souls or higher selves. At our essence we are The Force of Creation.
Let's look at the receipts.
From the moment of birth, we have been creating physical, mental, and emotional bodies.
We are also the personality's Creator. We created the little self and the ego.
And as most of us know, our exterior life is a reflection of our interior life. Individually and collectively. So we also create the life we are living.
And we create our afterlife. as well.Again, individually and collectively.
If we look at this mystically, Creation is a blooming from Source,. For some, the idea of the Big Bang might be more helpful. But it is each plane or realm of creation that creates the next or outer realm. So that the Created becomes the Creator.
We have been created to create.
This is the purpose of life. Creating.

The Cave of Machpelah.
The Old Testament tells a story about Abraham coming upon the Cave of Machpelah and in recognizing the sacredness of the cave, quickly purchases the land that is its home. Of course, over the years, many folks have tried to explain the significance of this cave. For one Machpelah means double - this is a double cave, one cave leading to another. And legend has it that the cave is the gateway to the Garden of Eden, and where all the great Jewish Patriarchs are buried.
Read this again: The Cave of Machpelah is the gateway to the Garden of Eden, and where all the great Jewish Patriarchs are buried.

When we look at what Jewish Mysticism says about this cave, we realize that it represents the foundation, Yesod, or what we today call the subconscious. We have an individual subconscious as well as collective subconscious, which is said to be the foundation from which creation arises.
If we dive a little deeper, we discover that the Old and New Covenants, and the Evening and Morning that joins the Night and the Day or the Darkness and the Light, into a monad, or a single unity, have everything to do with this sacred cave. There is an association of the Evening with the Old Covenant and the Morning with the New Covenant, the former is related to influxes of the Divine Feminine and the latter, the Divine Masculine. Moses and Jesus stand as figures representing these two revelations in the Jewish tradition.
The gist, we are constantly receiving influxes of the Divine Light into our subconscious, hence the Covenants, the promises that God will be with us, always.
Pretty cool, eh? But then why are we not all Deity? Why are we not all Divine Beings?
Because of the false images, the blockages that are also in this sacred cave.
Our subconscious is sacred? All the trauma we endured, all the emotions we suppressed, these is all stored in a sacred place?
Yes. Yes, they are!
Let us read that sentence from above again:
The Cave of Machpelah is the gateway to the Garden of Eden, and where all the great Jewish Patriarchs are buried.
It is the gateway to the Garden - our liberation, and it is where our ancestors are buried, or their energy over the millennium is stored. Our ancestral karma.
The gist, healing the wounds stored in our subconscious is a sacred effort. It is Holy.
Breathwork can take us there, to this sacred place. And if we approach with devotion, with humility, invisible help will respond and rise to our aid.
So it is my hope that I am able to incorporation devotion into Breathwork. This is not about worship or belief, this is simply bowing the heart. Following the heart.
Remember the heart knows the way, through the Cave of Machpelah and into who and what we truly are.
Your heart knows the way. Run in that direction. ~ Rumi
The cave you fear to enter holds the light you seek. ~ Rumi

The Sacred Subtle.
In Breathwork, we are learning to be humble.
Let me explain.
There are some things that are extremely subtle, things which we all begin to see, but at first only catch glimpses. Catching a glimpse means that we feel it energetically, and while our mind tries to explain what has been felt, what we have glimpsed moves out of our awareness.
No doubt you have experienced the subtle as well, oftentimes convincing yourself afterwards that it really does not exist.

But it does, they do - the subtle, and the reason they are not always noticeable is because our mind, busy and active, is unable to detect the subtle. But this is where God is. This is where Love is. In the subtle. The Sacred Subtle.
With this particular subtle awareness being discussed today, my mind has labeled it humility or the bowing down of the heart. The opposite of a puffed up heart, or even a hardened heart. To bow down, the heart must be soft, so much so that it is transparent. because we have let go of everything that is not real, everything that is an obstacle. All that is left is emptiness.
In this state, with no distractions, we no longer have expectations, plans, or goals, or even needs. There is a desire, though, a single desire present, and that is for what the heart has bowed to, but we have no idea what it is. But with the bowing down, we have now invited, or invoked that which we know is our true desire, even though we cannot name it.
And this is key. True desire bows down to that which it desires, creates a space for it, instead of clinging at it, or grasping for it. True desire is patient and kind, and seeks nothing for itself, because there is nothing there.
There is no self desiring.
There is only desire.
THIS is what Breathwork is all about, calling THIS is Somatic surrender.
Somatic surrender is the practice of consciously letting go of physical, mental, and emotional RESISTANCE to sensations, allowing the body to process stress, pain, or trauma without trying to change, fight, or fix it. It acts as a bridge between mind and body, relaxing the nervous system from fight-or-flight into a "rest and digest" state to release stored tension.
Wow.
And we thought humility was all about God, and we showing God how awesome and obedient we are because we are small and unworthy.
But this is not humility. Humility is letting go and bowing the heart to what actually is. This today we call Somatic Release, or letting go of all resistance, so that the nervous system can process emotions.
Breathwork is not about bringing a cessation to our feelings, but in the revealing and healing found in Breathwork, we are letting go of the self we thought was feeling, so that only feelings, emotions, remain.

The Sacred Subtle, Part 2.
Today, I was blessed to participate in Brianna’s Tone Circle at the Inner Alchemy Sanctuary, and we began with a little experiment.
The group was divided into 2 groups. One group was labeled The Givers, and the other, The Receivers. The Givers were secretly shown a picture that had many objects of one color. In this case, yellow. The Receivers were given a bag of colored stones.
In the first cycle, the Givers collectively began thinking about yellow and yellow objects, for about 5 minutes, and the Receivers, not knowing what color the Givers were contemplating, were asked to be still, quiet and listen inwardly, trying to pick up on the subtle images or words being emitted by the Givers describing this color.
In the second, the Givers not only contemplated the color, but began toning, expressing the color with sound, vibration. Brianna played the crystal bowls, in her own way to express the color. The Receivers were asked to be still, quiet and listen.
In the third, all the same, except the Receivers now joined in on the toning, still not knowing what color the Givers were imagining and toning. The Receivers simply toned with the Givers, trying to match the toning created by them. The Receivers were asked to look and feel, and see if a color or colored objects showed up in their imagination.
At the end of each cycle, the Receivers were asked to pick out a stone from their bag, one that best matched the color they were imagining or feeling.
Remember, the Givers were thinking and toning ‘yellow’.
After the first cycle, the Receivers’ selected stones were gathered. And among all the stones, there was one yellow stone. One Receiver picked up on yellow!
After the second cycle, the Receivers’ selected stones were gathered. Not one Receiver picked up on yellow.
After the third cycle, 2/3 of the Receivers’ selected stones were yellow.
When the Receivers joined in with the toning, a wide majority saw the actual color that the Givers were imagining and toning. Pretty cool, eh?
So why?
The energies being emitted by the Givers' imagining and toning were very subtle, so subtle that the Receivers were not able to tune in and see. Until. Until they were able to silent the mind, and bring down obstacles to their perceiving, by they themselves toning. In Breathwork, it is known that humming or chanting regulates the nervous system thus quiets the mind.
The gist is that the Receivers were not able to pick up on the subtle energy of the yellow thoughts and toning until they toned, thereby quieting their own minds.
If anyone reading this wonders why they do not have direct experiences of God, or are unable to see the Sacred Subtle. It is because the mind is too busy, filled to brim with thinking, so that it is an obstacle - like a mountain blocking our view!
While mystical experiences can quiet the mind, the best tool for quieting the mind, so that we might perceive God, is Breathwork. At least in my experience!

Barometric Pressure
Today, while driving toward a new hiking trail, a contemplation arose within as I gazed upon Mt. Rainier in the distance. The sky above me was blue and clear, yet the mountain itself was hidden behind thick clouds. [The image is one I took later, and rejoiced to see the clouds dissipating!]
As I reflected on this contrast, a possible analogy began to unfold. In the natural world, higher altitudes have lower barometric pressure because of the heavier air or atmospheric pressure. This draws clouds, storms, and precipitation toward the mountains, and traps them in place. It came to mind that this is a reflection of our inner life -- how heavy, negative thoughts and beliefs will draw external storms to us, or negative situations and people.

The mountains within us—the elevated places of judgment and blame, of self centeredness and fear, of resistance to what is, can become gathering places for storms. What remains unresolved within the soul draws toward itself circumstances, relationships, and patterns that mirror this inner turbulence. Life reflects back to us what still longs to be seen and transformed.
In the Old Testament, mountains often represent obstacles, places of testing, or that which stands between man and God. Yet we also read of mountains being made low, valleys lifted up, and rough places made smooth.
Is this not a sacred image of inner transformation?
As above, so below.
Though ancient people may not have understood atmospheric pressure as modern science does, they understood the language of symbols. They watched creation closely and knew that Spirit often reveals invisible truths through visible realities. The outer world becomes a mirror for the inner one.
The storms we experience are not punishments. They are invitations, calling us inward to examine these high places within ourselves, those that have not yet been revealed and healed.
May we allow the Spirit to bring low every mountain within us—every false elevation of ego, fear, and resistance—so that the clouds may float away, the storms may pass, and clearer skies may emerge within the soul.
The greatest miracle is not moving mountains outside of us. It is allowing God to bring down the ones within.

I suffer from spiritual greed.
Spiritual family, angels, guides, have long provided incredible spiritual experiences, uplifting consciousness into expansion and clarity.
For some time now, it has been understood that this ability to uplift consciousness exists within me, but like many of us, I struggle to heal, to figure it all out. And the root of the struggle is greed that is founded in feelings of lack. Basically, ‘I exist without, so must labor to get, to acquire it, to find it, to get it for myself.’
My greatest desire is to maintain this state of expanded and clear consciousness always. And there is nothing wrong with this desire. The problems arise with attachments, with grasping and clinging to this desire, trying to ‘make’ it happen.

As I learn to accept the desire, to rest in it, but without needing it to be fulfilled (hence no attachment or fear), things do start becoming more clear. Not suddenly, but organically.
This morning is one of those moments of clarity.
I am presently considering becoming certified in Kundalini Yoga, which is founded in Breathwork, and so several times a week I join Guru Singh via Zoom for Kundalini Yoga sessions. And the truth, that all is within you, came alive in regards to this desire today.
An important verity is that everything is present right here and now. That clarity and expansion of consciousness are right here, right now. But the question is, how to connect on our own without outward spiritual assistance?
In Breathwork, we learn about the different states of the mind, from producing Gamma Waves, or the most active, even chaotic state, to producing Beta Waves, which is the sleep state. Theta is the state right before falling into Beta or sleep state, which is our goal to achieve in Breathwork - that state of openness, or clarity. Theta.
Today, Guru Singh talked of this Theta state in more detail and explained this is the state we always want to be in, not just when practicing. For in the Theta state, we are connected to our intuition and able to pick up on subtle verities underlying everything, like Unity and Wisdom.. We want to always be in this state, the Theta Brain Wave state, perceiving and interpreting the world around us from this state, and also interacting with life from this state.
Let me make a bold statement - it is through the Theta Brain Wave state that we become aware of the Kingdom of God, and enter in. When we have visions and revelations, often we are receiving invisible help from other beings that put us in such a state. But the goal is for us to become aware and enter in organically, on our own.
So yes, indeed, everything exists within us, even the tools needed to access this everything.
What incredible creatures we are, designed in the image of God.
We just have to heal and awaken.

Happy Blue Moon Everyone!
On Tuesday I joined Guri Singh for a Kundalini Yoga session and something he shared with us caused lights to go off.
Many years ago, when I began what many call Deconstruction, I discovered something that was never before heard as a Christian. The layout of the Temple in Jerusalem is a map of the human body. I found an image similar to the one to the right which revealed that the Temple was given as a precursor to the revelation that we are to be the Temple for God. The human body is designed just for this, to be a Temple, and all the altars and and courtyards and fire pits represented an aspect of our body, from an energetic perspective.
At the time I knew nothing of Chakras and the Kundalini, but years later learned that Judaism has its own teachings on these things, though referring to them as Interior Stars and Serpent Fire. And then on Tuesday, Guru Singh began talking of the human body as a vehicle of energy, the body itself being an energetic center and conductor. Kundalini Yoga focuses on this, on removing energetic blockages and learning to master the flow of energy through one's body.
If we look at the image on the left, we see that the left leg is for the movement of energies behind intention, and the right leg for the energies behind motivation. We know we have blockages in the left leg when we are unable to create intention, a plan or a goal. And likewise, we have blockages in the right leg when we are unable to master the motivation, the energy, to accomplish our intention.
The gist, when we do not know what to do, when we don't have a plan or intention and just kinda waste days away, this is not laziness or weakness. This is a blockage of energy. And when we have an intention or plan, but cannot muster the energy to do anything, again we are not lazy or weak, we just have an energy blockage in our left leg.
There are so many things that became intriguing, such as the three pillars in Tree of Life. The left pillar is the pillar of restraint, of rules, discipline - the right pillar represents restriction or focus on this or on that. Or making a plan. The left pillar is the pillar of mercy, expansion, potential - it is the energy that compels us into action.
I know there are so many more insights to be gleaned, in joining these two traditions into a single contemplation, but I felt an intention to share this with you, and the energy to do so arose, so I took action and created this blog post.
I cannot even begin to describe what it is like for me somedays, as I am sure it is for you. Some days, I am not sure what is going on, what I want to do, and then other days, I cannot find the energy to get myself moving! But we have been made in the image of God, and this includes our body, and the energetic body behind it! We are designed to do, to create, to be motivated, to accomplish things!
And when we can't it is not a moral problem.
It is an energy problem!

What is Alignment?
Some of us can feel it and know. Others may not be sure what alignment is, what it actually feels like.
In the video, Guru Singh explains alignment using what he calls a 'system of alignment'.
We all are familiar with 'gut feelings', but do we know the science or metascience behind it? When we experience an energy that does not match the energies of our motivation and inspiration, we will feel that something off, that something is not quite right. Most of us, most of the time, just ignore it, and go on with life. I mean really how can my gut know what is good and what is not?
I would rather listen to my Pastor.
I would rather listen to my Guru/Rabbi/Tzaddik/Teacher.
I would rather listen to those I want to impress, those I want to be like.
I would rather listen to my spouse and make them happy.
How confusing it can be for someone in a relationship whose partner responds to their energy? Feeling that it is just not right for them, does not fit their motivation and inspiration. Nothing was said or done, it just did not feel right. It takes a lot of courage for a partner to respond to that which does not feel right by taking action, instead of ignoring it to keep the peace.
I know I did this for many years, until I realized I was destroying myself, allowing myself to connect with someone whose energy just felt off, to my gut! Of course the ego rationalizes, either inflating the situation, or ignoring it, just to try to get along. And viola! We have support in our thoughts for not taking action.
But the wise among us will respond to energy, to keep themselves in alignment. But if we find ourself on the other end, no need to fret or self or other judge, just look honestly at our own energy and make sure we are in alignment with our self! If we are, then the relationship was not a match, or good for both of us. If we aren't, if we then labor to heal, so that we are in inner alignment, we might find our self to now be a fit with the other person with whom we wish to be in relationship.
The wise will feel the energetic change within us, and might change their mind!
May we all pay attention to our bodies, and "...know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em,
Know when to walk away and know when to run."
There is a choice though, when a person's energy does not match ours, it might be like the wind hitting open sails of a boat that is still. It will be disruptive, and we can use the disruption to move our self forward in purpose and inspiration, or we sense that it will be destructive and instead, move out of the way.
This practice of alignment is of critical importance in these times, when we are choosing with what information we wish to have a relation. I love that he calls our connection to social media, a relationship with information!
May we all trust our self and what we are sensing!
